The birth of lucid portals
I was at an impasse, sitting in my studio, sipping a much needed coffee and looking around at the collection of inspired women I had painted, their eyes daring me to make a next move, pushing me in a gentle, yet firm, way. I was exhausted from the frenzy of painting, pressing myself to get this series done.
But what was I actually trying to say here?
And then I felt it. I found myself grabbing a Stabilio-All black pencil, approaching one of the paintings, my hand moving of it’s own accord, drawing an archway. And then a little door, and then a I knew. Portals. Doorways to the soul. And Lucid Portals was born.
